The Carson Animal Shelter located in Gardena, California, is not a place to pin your hopes and dreams to say and write the least. As the shelter grapples with overcrowding, tough decisions need to be made to free up valuable kennel space. And so that means if the dogs and cats trapped in the facility can’t find homes, they are brought to the back where they are “humanely euthanized.”
For one 2-month old shepherd trapped in Carson, he could tell you all about the politics of the place if he could talk. He would tell you that he receives two square meals a day, and is locked in a sterile looking, steel kennel cage where he is locked down for a majority of the day.
He would tell you that he is frightened by the loud noises at the Carson facility, that he has to endure every single day, wondering what on earth he did to receive such treatment. He would also tell you that the only thing keeping him solace are the few toys he has to play with, as he awaits a very uncertain future. Sad indeed.
A Petharbor listing for this precious pup reads,
“I am described as a male, brown German Shepherd Dog. The shelter thinks I am about 9 weeks old.”
