Imagine giving twenty years of your life to someone you thought was deserving of your love, until to be betrayed in the end? Worse, imagine if you will that this reversal of fortune you now face is life inside of a high kill shelter, where the odds of getting out are less than favorable.
Such was the case of a 20-year old pup named Sanoma, who now makes a temporary home at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California. Carson, an overcrowded, cash-strapped, city-funded shelter, is not the place one would expect to pin their hopes and dreams.
That’s because dogs and cats are given just a few weeks and sometimes just a few days to find forever homes before the unthinkable happens: euthanasia. Facebook advocacy group Saving Carson Shelter Animals took to their Facebook page and wrote,
“SANOMA spent his entire life with the woman that just left him at the shelter. She felt he was too old and she would come home to find him swimming in the pool because he is DEAF and BLIND! He is completely confused about what is happening to him; it must be so scary. He needs help now! Please share for his life, he’s such an angel.”
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Carson Animal Shelter at 310.523.9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5051334.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding Sanoma a home. We have done it before, and can certainly do it again.
