Imagine giving ten long years of nothing but love, loyalty, and devotion to someone you love and the thanks you get is a sentence to the notorious, high kill Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, where your life now hangs in the balance.
This isn’t the plot to a melodramatic movie, but rather the real life story of a dog named Coyote. Coyote, who is 10-years-old, was surrendered to the Carson shelter by an owner who could no longer care for him because according to my source he was too “old.”
As you can guess, the poor pup didn’t take such a betrayal well, and so instead of enjoying the golden years of his life, playing in a field with all his toys, he sits in a confined kennel space where the constant soundtrack of other desperate dogs barking rings in his ears daily.
Unfortunately, old doesn’t bode well at Carson. Shelter patrons have routinely passed up Coyote, who is described as sweet and loving, in favor of other dogs. All Coyote can do is cry in his blanket, wishing and hoping that a miracle would come in the form of a forever family that would love and care for him.
Thankfully Fidonation, Coyote has you. If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Carson Animal Shelter at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5047388.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding Coyote a forever home. We have done it before, and can certainly do it again.
