In Midland, Texas, police responded to frantic 9/11 calls of people reporting that a man was throwing little puppies, onto oncoming traffic. When Lt. Brian Rackow arrived on the seen, he was absolutely shocked by what he had discovered. Some puppies were being thrown against the windshield of passing cars, and being let out into traffic.
Police quickly apprehended then arrested Ernesto Aranda Jr. and charged him with misdemeanor animal cruelty. Police are evaluating him, to see if he has mental disease, and have not released any other details of his detainment. He is presently being held on $500.00 dollars bond. Fortunately, none of the dogs were seriously injured, and all but one, were taken to a Midland animal rescue shelter.
The story doesn’t end there. One dog in particular caught the eye of Lt. Brian Rackow and he quickly adopted him. He named the dog Marley, and now this puppy, who got off to a bad start in life, has the love, and undivided devotion of a police officer, who saved him from certain death, had he not arrived in the nick of time. Our faith in humanity restored 🙂
Congratulations to Lt. Lieutenant Brian Rackow and we wish you and Marley the best of luck in your new lives together.
