Life at the Miami Dade Animal Shelter (MDAS) in Miami, Florida, is no cakewalk to say and write the least. The dogs trapped in the facility are given just weeks, and sometimes even just days to find a forever family, before the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.
For one terrified pup named Emily, living under her new circumstances in a shelter where the chaos noise and confusion rules the day. In other words, it has become part of her new norm. Emily could tell you all about the politics of the MDAS, if she could talk. She would tell you that as each day passes she has to witness her fellow kennel mates disappear one by one, wondering what her fate might become if she can’t find a home, and soon.
According to my source at the shelter, Emily is so frightened and fearful of her stay at the MDAS, she can barely summon the courage to eat the food in front of her. Sad indeed.
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving Emily the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-110 and reference the shelter ID #A1888295.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding Emily a home. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
