There is nothing quite like the feeling of homelessness. The feeling that you have to make a life on your own because no one cares enough for you, to give you a chance. For one pup named Fifi, she is getting the cold hard lessons of a reality, she never could have imagined would come true.
Fifi’s owner didn’t want her anymore, and so one day, she let the pup out of the house, closed the door, leaving a bewildered and confused Fifi all alone to fend for herself on the street. Thankfully, a good samaritan spotted Fifi, took her off the streets, and brought her to the Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS), where she presently resides.
The MDAS is not a place where Fifi is clearly out of the woods per say. The shelter, which is located in Miami, Florida, for one is a kill shelter, that grapples with overcrowding. This means that if Fifi can’t find a forever family within the coming weeks, she could very well be “humanely euthanized” as the shelter likes to put it, to free up “valuable kennel space.”
The pup, who is struggling to come to terms with her new life, is terrified by the chaos, noise, and confusion that sweeps the MDAS. Late at night, she can be heard tucked away in her small tiny bed, weeping her herself to sleep, wishing that all this pain she is suffering is just a bad dream.
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-1101 and reference the shelter ID #A1866269.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter, so we are closer to finding Fifi a home. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
