At 6 years old, a middle-aged pup by the name of Macie is getting a cold hard lesson in the cruelties of life. After more than half a decade of love, loyalty, and devotion that was apparently not enough to satisfy the demands of a heartless owner, the poor pup was dumped off at a kill shelter.
Macie now languishes behind as another dog trapped in a kennel, of a shelter system that is devoid of hope, love, and care. Macie, or as staff at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California like to refer to her as #A5075597, is trapped in a facility, notorious for its high kill rate. That means that if the sweet-tempered Pinscher isn’t able to find a home within the coming weeks or months, the unthinkable will inevitably happen: euthanasia.
Macie, who seems to know the odds are stacked against her, is starting to break down emotionally. During the course of the day, my source at the shelter observes the pup burying her head in her favorite blanket, while gently sobbing to herself to sleep. Sad indeed.
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving Maci the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5075597.
Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding Macie a home. We have done it before, and can certainly do it again.
