The Baldwin Animal Shelter in Baldwin, California is a place where dogs and cats, don’t have much hope for the future. The overcrowded shelter, which is under-resourced, and routinely struggles with overcrowding, has to make tough choices every day, to free up valuable kennel space.
That means if the poor, innocent animals trapped in the facility aren’t able to find forever homes, they are “humanely euthanized” to make room for other animals. For one unnamed Sharpei pup trapped at Baldwin Animal shelter, he could tell you all about the politics of Baldwin if he could talk.
The pup was brought in to the high kill shelter as a stray after he was found roaming the streets, unattended. Unfortunately, a search for his rightful owner yielded no results, and so he sits in a kennel, awaiting a grim fate.
Judging by the pup’s condition, he came from what rescuers believe is a neglectful home. He is suffering from mange, had numerous ticks removed, and his feet were found to be swollen. The pup has suffered long enough and it’s time we do something about it.
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this pup a forever home, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park at (626) 962-3577 and reference the shelter ID #A5045950.
