Thanks in no part to K9 officer Tek of Georgia State Patrol, three pups who were abandoned in a desolate, heavily wooded area, are receiving a second lease on life. Tek and his handler Trooper Jordan Ennis were out for a ride during a routine patrol when Tek began barking incessantly to draw his attention.
When Trooper Ennis pulled over, what he was met by shocked him to his core. There before him were three terrified puppies who were huddled together to keep warm, right behind a briar bush. As you can see from the image below, their sad faces say it all.
Tek immediately rushed over to the puppies to keep them comfort, while Trooper Ennis ran to his cruiser to radio dispatch for help.
Although the person responsible for this horrible case of neglect might never be found, the victims, in this case, are moving right along with their lives as the Georgia’s Department of Public Safety wrote on their Facebook page,
“[Ennis] knew no one was coming for them, so he and his K-9, Tek, brought the puppies to Headquarters where they were all promptly adopted.”
Like all law enforcement professionals, the variables of what they may encounter on a day to day basis is unknown. I am sure most would love a day they could spend helping puppies, who all ultimately found their happy ending all thanks to Tek.
