The best way to describe Zeus when you first meet him is a little ball of energy. Zeus is a fire cracker, and nothing would really lead one to think that behind the smile, is a dog who is broken emotionally, after he was heartlessly betrayed by owners who simply didn’t want him anymore for the silliest of all reasons.
According to my source at the Carson Animal Shelter, a high kill facility located in Gardena, California, Zeus’ parents didn’t quite like his affinity for the out doors. And so in a bid to contain his favorite past time, they mercilessly surrendered him to the shelter, to search for a dog who was more of the “indoor type.”
Zeus, who has been at the shelter since June 29, a miracle by any standard when you consider that the average lifespan for a dog at Carson not placed for adoption is a mere two weeks, has been formally placed on death row. This means that if the charismatic pup, who became a shelter favorite with his charm, could be “humanely euthanized” which would be a shocking end to a life that has only just begun. Thankfully Zeus has you.
Fidonation, if your or someone you know is interested in giving Zeus the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Carson Animal Shelter at 310-523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5076239.
Additionally, please share this story of Zeus on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding him a forever family. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
