It took a little over 8 months for Loba’s family to decide that they were going to move on in life without her. And so on one breezy, picturesque California afternoon, they packed up all her things, which included a collar, leash, and some other personal effects, and loaded her into a car.
The last stop was the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, a place where hopes and dreams fade faster than a rainbow after a storm. Except, there aren’t any happy endings here as dogs at Carson are given a few weeks and sometimes even just days to find new forever families before the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.
Loba, a young, vivacious soul with lots of energy, is now contemplating a very dark, glib future. As shelter patrons pass her by in favor of other dogs, Loba retreats back to her little corner in her kennel space, wondering what on earth she did to deserve such a stunning betrayal.
A Petharbor listing for Loba reads,
“My name is Loba and I am described as a spayed female, black and tan German Shepherd Dog. The shelter thinks I am about 8 months old.”
Fidonation, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566.
